New Beginnings - Welcome to Sunshine Optometry

After completing his doctorate at the Southern College of Optometry in 1974. Dr. Zeltser began practicing in the Los Angeles area. In 1976 he began a partnership in the city of San Fernando. In 1982, Dr. Zeltser established a private practice in the city of Valencia. Dr. Zeltser has been a member of the American Optometric Association for over 35 years and has been an active member of the California Optometric Association since 1970.

In 2016, Dr. Alice Sun and Dr. Daniel Sjolund joined the practice and brought new technology and skills to expand the scope of practice. Below is Dr. Zeltser's retirement letter to all patients:

Dear Patients,

Over the past 40 years it has been my privilege to be your eye doctor, and I have truly enjoyed the time I have spent caring for all of you. After many years of service, I have decided to reduce my time at the office as I begin my transition into retirement. For now, I will be available to see you on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM until the end of July 2017. However, my staff will remain here to continue to assist with all your eye care needs.

It is with great pride that I introduce and welcome Dr. Alice Sun, who was handpicked by me from among several highly qualified candidates to be part of this practice. Dr. Sun studied Biochemistry at University of California, San Diego and went to obtain her doctorate at The New England College of Optometry in Boston. Prior to moving to Santa Clarita, Dr. Sun was practicing in Beverly Hills, which provided her with extensive experience in ocular disease and specialty contact lenses. With her attention to detail as well as her friendly and caring personality, I believe Dr. Sun will provide you with the highest level of eye care.

Dr. Sun also provides appointments for eye infections, ocular allergies, red eye, and other eye conditions. Come in and visit Dr. Sun or see me before I retire! Thank you for the many years of loyalty and continued support. Best wishes to you and all your loved ones!

Sincerely,

Dr. Allan D. Zeltser
